This policy explains how Soul & Soil collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and buy from us. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as they apply to us.
What we collect
When you create an account or place an order we collect your name, email address, mobile numbers, delivery addresses and the details of your orders. If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply.
We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled by our payment partner (Razorpay) on their secure page.
Why we collect it
- to create and secure your account, including the codes we email you;
- to take, pack, ship and support your orders, and to send order updates;
- to answer your questions and complaints;
- to meet legal, tax and accounting duties;
- to keep the website working and safe.
Who we share it with
Only with those who help us serve you, and only what they need: our payment partner, courier and delivery partners, our email service, and our website hosting and database providers. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you logged in and to remember your cart. These are needed for the website to work. We will ask for your permission before using any analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order information for as long as your account is open and for the period the law requires for records. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
Your choices
For anything in this policy, write to hello@soulandsoil.in. We reply within two working days.
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it, unless the law needs us to keep it;
- withdraw a permission you gave us, for example for reminders or offers;
- make a complaint about how your information is handled.
How we protect it
Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read. Connections to the website are encrypted. Access to customer information is limited to people who need it.
Children
Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
